Colorful embroidered pillow case with a bird and flowers from Maramures Romania

Handmade Loom Towel with hand embroidered design Repurposed in a Pillow Case – a delightful fusion of tradition and contemporary style. Crafted from an old handmade towel traditionally used to adorn walls, this repurposed pillow case brings a touch of nostalgia and character to any living space.

The towel was made in the loom about 40-50 years ago. We repurpused it in a pillow case, made by hand and in the sewing machine by a women from countryside Romania. One side is adorned with a majestic bird and floral design, cross stitched, the other is white. The closure is made with buttons.
The towel is from cotton, the embroidery is in acrylic yarns.
Two pieces available. 30x34 cm and 30x36 cm.
Good condition, only few yarns from the embroidery missing, not very visible.
